How do I schedule a session? When are they held?
To schedule a session simply send me an e-mail through the contact page of this website with your interest. Or you may call me at 614-531-0123. Most sessions are held in the evening a couple of hours before sunset. They may also be held in the early morning hours after sunrise. I am available for sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings and on Saturdays. Sessions are scheduled 4-6 weeks out so be sure to schedule early as I only accept a limited amount of sessions per month.
Where are the sessions held?
Sessions may be held at a location of your choice. This can include your home, a local park or an urban location. On a limited basis, sessions may be held in studio. If you want a studio session, there will be an additional charge for studio rental. For horses, I can come right to your barn or even a favorite trail or other location.
How should I prepare my:
horse?
Detailed tips on preparing your horse will be given once you schedule a session, but obviously a good grooming is appropriate.
Pet?
Both dogs and cats should be well groomed. Make sure there is no dirt or debris in the eyes. More details will be given if a session is sheduled
Self?
The most important thing is to not get too anxious about the session. Your animal can sense your feelings and this will make them anxious as well. If you wish to be in the photos with your animal, I suggest you keep your clothing simple and avoid wearing white.
What can I expect during the session?
About one week prior to your session, I will give you a call to go over the details of your session. At this time we can finalize location selections and clothing. This is the time to ask any questions! During your session, just relax and have fun. I am really laid back and easy to get along with, so let’s just have fun!
How long will the session last?
Most sessions last 1 to 2 hours depending on your needs and how many are being photographed.
When and how will I see my images?
Approximately 10-14 days after your session, your photos will be placed in an online gallery. I will contact you with instructions on view your proofs. The photos will stay online for 7 days. Please place your order within that time frame. If you wish to order after the 7 day period, there will be a $25 re-upload fee. Orders are taken over the phone or an in-person consultation.
Can I have the digital files?
Absolutely. If you need files for advertising purposes, a commercial usage license may be purchased. For personal photos, web-sized files are provided with a minimum purchase and full-resolution files may be purchased. Copyright of all photos remains with the photographer, but a printing license is granted.
Do you photograph children and families?
My focus is on animal photography. However, I do photograph children. I do not photograph families in the traditional way. But I will photograph casual family moments/play. Click here to see a sample of my child photography.
